My guess is that FCP has somehow locked into the EX1 format and cannot be switched to anything else. Check This Out

Loaded software is pretty normal - it isn't like I have Avid and FCP loaded on the same system or anything. Maybe I have a misunderstanding of what codecs mean in general, or what the purpose of converting the files to the ProRes format. Duane E.
